JCE has been active investing and doing business in South America in various forms since 1987, starting with Chile and then expanding to Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru.


From a Swedish perspective, South America is a vibrant part of the world, full of opportunities but also with many challenges from an economic, political, and judicial perspective.


It is our ambition for JCE South America to act as a bridge between Scandinavia and South America, fostering knowledge exchange and unlocking business opportunities by combining Swedish principles for corporate governance with local entrepreneurial spirit and expertise.


And that is really the essence of JCE South America. As a Swedish-owned group, we safeguard principles such as (i) long-term environmental and social responsibility by integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of our business, (ii) adhering to the highest standards of business ethics, and (iii) being agile by working closely with local teams in a flat organizational structure characterized by open communication and inclusiveness.

Building on our geographical footprint, we see a great opportunity going forward in helping Swedish and Nordic companies (or companies of any nationality for that matter) in accessing the South American markets.

Through our already established local organizations, we can overcome the obstacles of long distances, language barriers, different cultures as well as challenging political and judicial environments inherent in doing business in South America from a base in Northern Europe.
